From wool to yarn

The main material suppliers to the products are wool from breed Danish Gotlænder, and from my Spelsau breed sheeps. It takes several technical processes before the raw wool is transformed into the final weaving yarn 

When the sheeps has been cut the core wool process is taking place before the final weaving yarn is ready for use.

Raw wool

First a rough sorting is taking place. It takes away the worst grass etc. that is stock in the wool. 

Sorting wool

The wool is being spun at spinning mill Hjelholt on Fuen - Danmark. Here, the wool is washed, carded, dyed and spun into the final yarn.
